Save money with Re-Turn
This is a new project aimed at getting us to return drinks containers (plastic bottle, alluminium and steel cans) for recycles. The container must have the Re-turn logo to be eligible.
You could be claiming back many Euros per week on your purchases and helping to save the environment.
How does it work?
When you buy a drink in a Re-Turn container, you pay a small deposit on top of the price of the drink. All you need to do is to return the empty and undamaged container to the participating shop. You will get your deposit back.
What are the benefits?
There are several reasons for this project:
Ireland achieves its recycling targets
It protects the environment – the containers do not become litter/landfill
It gives us a financial incentive to recycle (in this way)
How do I hand the containers back?
There are many participating Supermarkets with the Re-Turn vending machine that you can use. Some supermarkets will let you return the materials over the counter. A Re-Turn vending machine will give you a voucher that you can take to a till and exchange for cash or store credit. Just make sure that you return containers as instructed in the Reverse Vending Machine. Vouchers issued bt the vending machine must be used in the store operating that vending machine.
How do I find a participating supermarket?
Go to the re-turn.ie site and you can search for outlets per county or outlets that are in your Eircode area.
