Refusal of SWA Payment

You may be refused a SWA payment, if you did not qualify for a Social Welfare payment because you have failed to provide information or material requested by the Department, without just cause or good reason.

If you are refused a SWA payment, you are entitled to receive the decision for the refusal in writing, on the grounds that you may wish to seek to request a review of that decision, or that you may wish to lodge a formal Appeal with the Social Welfare Appeals Office (SWAO)
