SMART Goals

SMART Goals are goals that are:

  • Specific – unambiguous (who, what, where, when)

  • Measurable – its clear what you need to do to meet them

  • Attainable – they can be achieved

  • Realistic – they relate to you

  • Timely – They have a set deadline

Setting goals means that you:

  • Have direction

  • Have priorities

  • Have clarity

  • Can plan well and use your time well

  • Can judge if you have met your targets

Its good to:

  • Write the target down

  • Check it regularly

  • Review your progress

  • Recognise your achievement
