Fast Track

The Department of Social Protection operates a fast-tracking system for persons in receipt of Jobseeker’s Benefit, Jobseeker’s Benefit (Self-Employed) and Jobseeker’s Allowance, who sign-off to take up full-time work for a brief period of up to 12 weeks. The fast-track system allows you to sign back on without the need to go through the process as a new claimant and ensures that your original Jobseeker’s payment is re-instated without delay. To avail of the fast-track process, you must inform the local Intreo Centre/Social Welfare Branch Office in advance that you are taking up work.
