What is Jobs Plus?

JobsPlus is a financial incentive to encourage employers to hire people who are unemployed. Employers use JobsPlus when filling new positions, or re-filling positions that occur from staff turnover.

It relates to full time positions – 30hours over a 4-day week and employees must come from live register i.e. Jobseeker payment. Time spent on work placement, training or education courses and employment schemes will count toward eligibility. A person must first re establish their jobseeker payment before moving to JobsPlus. People can move directly from WPP to JobsPlus.

What Are The Payments?

• Under 25’s - €7500 allowance (Unemployed for a minimum of 4months (104 days) out of the previous 6 months)

• Over 25 - €7500 allowance (Unemployed for 12mths (312 days) out of the previous 18mths)

• Aged 25 - 50 - €10,000 allowance (Unemployed for 36mths (936days) out of the previous 40mths)

• Over 50 - €10000 allowance (Unemployed for 12mths (312 days) out of the previous 18mths)
